It was then decided that the other divisions of the company should be sold and all the resources could be concentrated on the pump division.

In the early 70’s the company embarked upon a world wide marketing campaign and the rewards of those efforts can be seen with products being sold across five continents.

Smedegaard UK was established in 1982. Based in Bridgwater, Somerset, it has become the centre for the manufacturing of booster sets and pressure units, as well as being a distribution centre for pumps and circulators in the UK.

In 1997 Smedegaard acquired RCB/Biral in Beinwil am See, Switzerland. This modern, well equipped factory has become the centre for wet motor production. It has given Smedegaard independent control of development and production of its complete range of circulators.

In keeping with the electronic age, the year 2000 has seen the introduction of a second generation of IsoBar glandless circulators and also the introduction of
IsoDrive – a glanded range of inverter controlled pumps.
